Chelation Therapy / Heavy Metal Poisoning
EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid) is a synthetic amino acid that attaches to metals and minerals. Heavier metals, such as lead and mercury, have a greater affinity for ETDA and form stronger bonds. EDTA chelation therapy has been used by physicians for more than 40 years to treat a number of conditions. A provocative test must first be performed to determine if you have elevated levels of heavy metals in your system. Depending on the results, you may need to have weekly chelation therapy for 20 weeks.
